I completed my Bachelor of Social Work degree at Colorado State University Pueblo in 2009, graduating Summa Cum Laude. In the summer of 2010, I graduated with Honors from Newman University in Colorado Springs, earning my Master of Social Work degree. I am licensed by the state of Colorado as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Over the last eight years, I have worked as a Family Preservation Clinician; a Child, Family, and Adult Therapist; a Family Advocate supporting military couples and families on Fort Carson; a Medical Social Worker supporting adults of all ages with varying medical and system challenges; and supervising Social Work interns in field placements.
I also have comprehensive experience teaching parenting classes, developing and teaching relationship classes, and working with groups of adjudicated and systemically challenged adolescent girls. I have several years of experience providing support to couples during life challenging times in their relationships. I am a firm believer that relationships take work from all involved.
I have had a wonderful and, often times, challenging life journey; this has helped me become both a compassionate person and exceptional listener.
My biggest accomplishment in life has been the 30 years of marriage with my best friend and husband. A close second has been the never-ending journey of being the best parent I can be to my wonderful daughter. We also share our home with 2 dogs: Jack and Gus.
